WHAT'S NEW ON THE WEBSITE
- If you make a Quilt of Valor, we'd like you to pin a status label to the back so Troop Support can keep track of them. Labels are on the Community Outreach page, under Troop Support.
- Thanks to intrepid photographer Sue Hoffman, we have pictures of the quilts from our recent quilt show. They are best seen on a computer, where you can look at each group as a slide show. You'll be amazed at what you missed in real life! They're on our new Quilt Show page.
VISITING OPPORTUNITY QUILTS
We love to see Opportunity Quilts from other guilds and support them by purchasing tickets. We have lists of who's scheduled to bring their quilt to our guild meetings for the next couple of years on our Contacts page.
FIFTH WEDNESDAY COMMUNITY SERVICE WORK DAY
Our next date will be Wednesday, July 30, 2025, 9 am to 2pm. We meet at the First United Methodist Church at 109 Washington Blvd. Bring your sewing machine and a potluck item; everything else is provided (irons, ironing boards, cutting mats, rotary cutters, thread, kits, pin-basted quilts, etc,). It's a great way to meet other members as well as to contribute to our Community Service effort. Contact: Cathy Urbanus
MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS
We're ready to start membership renewals for the 2025-2026 membership year, which starts on July 1, 2025. You can find more information and a fillable membership form on our About Us page. If you don't renew by the end of July, you won't be in the new roster, and you will probably get no more newsletters or messages from the Guild. There is a new form for Renewing Members and a separate form for New or Returning Members.
ZOOM MINI GROUPS
We have a mini group, open to all, that meets via Zoom every Tuesday at 2pm. The group focuses on Missouri Star tutorials. We watch a part, go away to do what Jenny tells us, then come back and watch the next step. We share what we’re working on and have learned a lot of new techniques. Contact: Jen Luton
